Dear Partner,
A few weeks ago we shared with you the exceptional measures Iberia has taken in terms of health and safety. We are constantly reviewing all the touchpoints in the customer journey and implementing additional measures, such as reinforcing cleaning procedures of our aircraft .
We are working with airport authorities to make sure we can safely reopen our lounges and offer services like Fast Track. Whenever you are ready to fly with us again, we want to make sure you can do it as safe as possible.
Check-in
- We have disabled self-check-in kiosks to minimise contact.
- In these exceptional circumstances, we highly encourage customers to check-in online and download their boarding pass on their devices.
- During check-in customers will be required to accept a Health Declaration, confirming they do not have symptoms, they have never been diagnosed with COVID19, and that they have never been in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID19.
- Customers flying into Spain will be required to complete a "Health Control Form" no more than 48 hours before travelling via the website www.spth.gob.es
- Access to all airports in Spain is restricted to passengers with a valid ticket.
- Online check-in is the easiest and fastest way to check-in safely from your home. For more information click here.
- To avoid contact on board, we recommend customers to check-in their hand luggage for free.
- We have introduced a new queueing system to increase distance between people and placed protection screens at check-in and customer service desk.
- All our staff wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Boarding
- We have implemented a new boarding process as of 15th June 2020. Passengers will board by rows back-to-front to reduce movements on board. For more details click here
- From 10th 2020, we are implementing a new hand-baggage policy on all our flights to board the aircraft as safely and efficiently as possible, while reducing contact between passengers and crew on board. The new hand baggage allowance dimensions will be 56cm x 40cm x 25cm and a máximum weight of 14kg in Business and 10kg in Economy. More details on the new policy here
- Wherever possible, we are prioritising the use of jet bridges instead of buses to board and disembark our flights.
On board
- As you can see in this video we have reinforced the cleaning procedures of our aircraft.
- The use of medical face masks is compulsory during boarding and throughout the flight.
- Passengers will be offered anti-bacterial wipes.
- No on-board meal service on flights <4 hours. On all other flights, meals will be served in sealed boxes with disposable cutlery. Drinks will only be served in sealed bottles or cans.
- We are temporarily suspending our Special Meals and our buy-on-board services.
Thanks for your continued support and we are looking forward to welcoming you back on board soon.
