Dear colleagues!

The 7.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in Mandalay, Myanmar today. In order to assist passengers to better arrange their travel plans, a Notice on Special Handling of Passenger Tickets on Yangon Route has been prepared.

In order to provide better services to passengers affected by the earthquake in Mandalay, Myanmar, and to assist passengers in making better travel arrangements, we are pleased to inform you of the special handling of passenger tickets on the Yangon route of China Southern Airlines as follows:

I. Applicable Passenger Tickets

Passenger tickets purchased or exchanged before 19:00 on March 28, 2025 (inclusive), and the tickets are not used for flights operated by China Southern Airlines or code-share flights using CZ flight number with travel dates between March 28, 2025 (inclusive) and April 11, 2025 (inclusive) on Yangon inbound and outbound flights (including stopovers).

Changes and Refunds

Passengers who cancel their booked seats before flight departure can apply for a refund or change in accordance with the following rules within the validity period of the ticket:

(I) Ticket Change 

 For the first change to an actual flight operated by China Southern Airlines with the same range, the change fee is waived, and the fare difference, if any, will be charged in accordance with the regulations. Further changes must be made in accordance with the conditions of use of the ticket. 

(ii) Refund of Ticket 

If a ticket is refunded within the validity period of the ticket, the refund fee will be waived. Tickets that have been changed in accordance with the above principles shall be refunded in accordance with the conditions of use of the ticket. 

Other matters shall be handled in accordance with the conditions of use of passenger tickets. 

This notice is effective from March 28, 2025 onwards.
